Resources and Opportunities for Faculty & Staff

The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) is the foremost professional association supporting campus sustainability in North America. As an AASHE member institution, KU has access to numerous resources including the shared knowledge of other member institutions. While much of this information is public, KU faculty, staff and students can access member-only information by simply creating a log-in account using their KU email. Visit to get started.

The Disciplinary Associations Network for Sustainability (DANS) provides comprehensive resources from among their network of member professional associations all working toward education for sustainability. They also have a faculty fellowship program.

KU Community

Through the development of research teams, student research projects, service learning courses, and a campus-wide network of sustainability ambassadors, the Center for Sustainability can continue to work within the campus community to promote collaborative solutions to sustainability challenges that face our campus and the global community.

We are constantly seeking input and involvement from the campus community. If you are involved in sustainability-related teaching or research or would like to participate in building a more sustainable future for KU, please contact us!
